Gly Solutions

Gly Solutions started in 2011 with a powerful idea— looking for the patterns in how people perceive their organizations and the stories they tell in order to do organization development in a way that honors complexity and gets at the principles, spoken and unacknowledged, behind repeated behaviors.

Within a few years it became apparent that the lessons I was learning in my yoga practice were consistent with this idea and others that came to me through other scholarly work with my colleagues, including quantum physics-inspired approaches.  It felt like there were some very simple ideas that were coming at me from multiple directions, as if all were saying the same thing in different languages.  So I decided to broaden my scope with Gly Solutions.

The more I learn and the more I experience, the less this business is about me and “my ideas.” When we are part of a really good idea, something much bigger than ourselves, we belong to it— not the other way around!

I have been blessed to co-create with some great minds, to develop new content and deeper insights, to grow, change, and find ways to add my voice to the organization development chorus using a variety of media.  Over time it has become more and more a labor of love, a chance to be of service in new and exciting ways, and an avenue for creativity. These days I’m stepping into my newly defined role of Out of the Box Thinker and Doer in some bold new ways that I think you will find both engaging and useful.

What’s coming?  You can expect to see more of the Management on the Mat blog, additional audio and visual content, and an expansion of the topics discussed on this web site.  There will be more collaboration with scholars and practitioners who inspire me, more creative and entertaining presentations, and meaningful shorts for those who are in a hurry but open to new ideas. (Think about learning something new in the time it takes to brush your teeth!)

In the meantime, be sure to watch for my talk, The Fractal Challenge, at TEDX Colorado Springs. Start a conversation with us about your organization's needs. Keep reading the blog.  Comment.  Join the conversation, and become part of a powerful idea or two, yourself!
